Zachary Quinto: I'm a 'Gay Man'

Zachary Quinto (Getty Images) Zachary Quinto has nuncupatory out about his sexuality to New York storehouse. The actor revealed he's vivacious while discussing  his stage role in Angels in America to the mag.

He declared about the challenges of the drive: “As a gay man, it made me have ~ing like there’s still in like manner much work to be done, and in that place’s still so many things that destitution to be looked at and addressed.”

He too opened up about the challenges of favorable reception in the gay community (via Just Jared): “And another time, as a gay man I expect at that and say there’s a hopelessness that surrounds it, if it be not that as a human being I aspect at it and say ‘Why? Where’s this inequality coming from, and why can’t we since a culture and society dig deeper to examine that?’ We’re terrified of facing ourselves,” he declared.

Quinto also wrote a statement forward his blog. In it, he addressed one of his reasons for coming wanting: the suicide of gay teen Jamey Rodemeyer. He wrote: "no more than in light of jamey's exit - it became clear to me in each instant that living a gay life lacking publicly acknowledging it - is simply not sufficiency to make any significant contribution to the interminable work that lies ahead on the path to complete equality.  our participation needs to recognize the unstoppable momentum toward unequivocal civil equality for every gay lesbian bisexual and transgendered burgher of this country."

Quinto is currently starring in American Horror Story and had a role by the side of Anna Farris in the recent flick What's Your Number? He's slated because an unnamed Star Trek sequel with a view to 2012.
